Difference in Voting Rights
The DVR shareholders do not get equal rights as compared to the ordinary shareholders of the company. If any resolution is put to vote on a poll or by postal ballot at any general meeting of shareholders, the holders of DVR shares shall be entitled to one vote for every ten DVR shares held as per the terms of its issue i.e. DVR shareholders has only 10% of voting rights as compared to ordinary shareholders.
If a resolution of put on vote on a show of hands, the holder of DVR shares shall be entitled to the same number of votes as available to holders of ordinary shares.[1]
